Print of In the Morning

$20.00Price

When I first moved to Portland, many of my mornings started like this, inspiring this composition, but as covid and quarantine started, the piece took on new meaning. Inside can be comfortable and wonderful, but being able to interact fully with the outside world is definitely something I was taking for granted. Recently, with wildfires so close to Portland, this piece took on new meaning once again. I’m very grateful to still have a home, so many people lost theirs in the fires or were forced to evacuate. It's nice to once again see clear skies and not feel suffocated by the smoke in the atmosphere. Chalk pastel on toned paper, 47.5x64in.
